Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
Yesterday, the Federal Government made a number of announcements regarding the treatment of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), including advising that schools will remain open.
At this point, there have been no confirmed cases at any of our centres. However, for the interest of public safety, we have decided to close regular face-to-face classes at all centres, effective immediately. This will reduce the risk of infection to our students, parents, guardians, staff and also to the potential exponential risk to the wider community.
Virtual Online Classes
As a result, we will be introducing Virtual Online Classes from this coming weekend. In order to join these classes from home, students will need:
- A Laptop or Computer, with a webcam
- Internet Connection
- Google Chrome Web Browser
Students will also need to have their NQT Workbooks with them.
Please note, these Virtual Classes will continue for the remainder of Term 1 (Week 8 and 9).
Additional FREE Virtual Classes
We understand parents would like to keep students learning during this period of uncertainty. There is a possibility we will be introducing FREE classes during the weekdays, during school holidays, if parents are on board with the Virtual Online Classes.
We have setup a Facebook Group for you to make suggestions of topics you would like us to cover.
More announcements in the future, so watch this space!
Term 2 Invoices
To assist us in continuing to provide classes for our students, whether it be online or back in the classrooms in Term 2, we would be appreciative for parents wishing to enrol their child into Term 2, pay their fees early in order to secure a spot, and receive an early bird discount. Term 2 invoices were sent out last week, so please let us know if your child has not received theirs.
As a once off, due to the current climate, can you please use electronic transfer to pay Term 2 Fees for 11 Lessons, using the following details:
Account Name: NQT Education
Account Number: 109383324
Description: Insert your Child's First Name, and Student ID (Under your child's name on the pink invoice)
Please save a receipt of your payment, and email it to email@example.com. If you believe you are entitled to a credit for medical reasons, please email us and we will let you know if any adjustments are required to your fees.
In the meantime...
We thank parents in advance for their patience and understanding in this situation, and while we fine tune our new online program. Please keep checking your emails and phone messages, as we will be continuing to update you on what will be happening this weekend, including information on how to join the virtual online classrooms. We will try and have the virtual classes at a similar time to your regular face-to-face classes. Apologies in advance for any technical issues that may arise this weekend.
We welcome your feedback so we can fine-tune the online program which may possibly continue into Term 2 depending on the advice of the government and parent feedback/request. If you would prefer that your child continue online classes after we recommence our regular face-to-face classes, please contact us.
If you know any friends or family members who currently attend NQT Education, but did not receive this email, please ask them to contact us as soon as possible by email to firstname.lastname@example.org with their child's Full Name, Year Level, and the Centre they attend. This will allow us to update our email list.
Lastly, and most importantly from the Team at NQT Education, we send well wishes to our students and their families to stay safe and healthy during this turbulent period.
